Stabilizer with bag

Our SWI-TEC stabilization system is a passive device that dampens movements (especially rolling) of a boat in the water. The goal is to increase comfort on board, e.g. while at anchor or during longer stays, and to reduce seasickness. It is only used when stationary at anchor or in port – never while underway!

• The SWI-TEC stabilizer has the shape of a box with movable plates that is lowered into the water.
• These plates act like a valve in the water: during downward motion, the plates open to let water pass through; during upward motion, they close and dampen the movements.
• The surface area and design of the anti-roll system reduce rolling (side-to-side movement).
• One or several stabilizers may be used, depending on the vessel’s weight.
• They can be deployed at the bow, stern, or side, depending on wave direction.

• The SWI-TEC stabilizer can reduce rolling movements by up to 50%.
• Actual effectiveness depends on several factors: type, size, and weight of the vessel; number of stabilizers used; wave conditions; and how deep or how far to the side the stabilizer is placed.

• According to our table on the website, the SWI-TEC Stabilizer including Bag is designed for boats up to a maximum of 25 tons (depending on the number of units used).
• For optimal effect, it is recommended to use the number of stabilizers suggested in the weight table.
• When using multiple stabilizers, it is best to place them on the same side whenever possible. The same applies to bow & stern deployment, which creates stronger braking resistance.

• It is attached to a line, lowered into the water, and fixed to a cleat or lower railing support. Depending on the vessel’s movement, it can be placed at the side, bow, or stern. Correct positioning is important: always slightly deeper than the hull so it doesn’t touch and can displace enough water.
• The stabilizer is foldable, making storage and handling easier.
• When not in use, it should be kept dry and protected – the included bag helps with this.

• Not recommended in very rough seas or extremely high waves (too much strain on cleats or railing supports).

• When deployed at the bow, it may interfere with the anchor chain.
• Must not be used while the vessel is underway.

• Before use, ensure the mounting point is stable and strong enough to handle the forces involved (especially in stronger motion or currents).
• Regularly check for damage or corrosion, especially on connecting elements, loops, and screws.
• Rinse with fresh water after use to avoid salt deposits.
• Only pack into the storage bag once completely dry to prevent moisture damage.
